Time Flies

I can’t believe the year is almost over! I hope everyone is wrapping up 2019 with a lot of success and happiness. This year went by especially fast for me. Just like that, we’re about to welcome in the year 2020!

I thought last year was a challenge for me in terms of building two new locations at the same time, but this year even surpassed that! Construction on our sixth location off of Park Road is currently 99% complete. Construction on our first international location in Vietnam is moving along, and we should be up and running in a couple months. Soon we will be able to get coffee from our own farm in Vietnam, which will be a very exciting time for us! On top of all that, we’re closing out the year with a brand new roasting/distribution/training facility located in Cornelius. None of these developments could have been possible without our loyal customers and, of course, our wonderful employees.

One of my favorite times of the year is around the Holidays. It gives me time to slow down and reflect on everything that has happened throughout the year. Every company can post that they have the best staff or the hardest workers, and maybe they do. But I’m very proud of every single person that works hard for our company. They’re the reason that what was a small 4-employee business in 2013 has now grown into the largest and fastest growing local coffee shop from Lake Norman to Charlotte and soon internationally. So I can 3000% say that our staff are amazing, and I love every single one of them! Not everyone can work at Waterbean Coffee, but the ones that do are forever a part of this family. You’ve helped build something very special. I’m very proud and lucky to be your boss, and I can’t wait to see what you will do in 2020 to help lead our company to great heights! So let’s enjoy a couple more weeks of 2019 and get to work in 2020!

I would like to finish this post (and the year 2019) by wishing all of our amazing loyal customers a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Thank you so much for sticking by us throughout the years and continuing to do so as we expand. You’re the reason why I’m happy to wake up early every morning and go to sleep late every night. I have gotten to know many of you personally throughout the years, and it have been very rewarding for me to call you my friends. Thank you so much, and I hope everyone has a very happy New Year coming up very soon!
