This Sumatra Lintong comes to us from Dolok Sanggul near Lake Toba, located in Northern Sumatra. The local people who live in the area are collectively known as Batak people, who use traditional growing practices of their culture which, although not certified organic, utilizes natural substances and by-products. We found this Sumatra to be the cleanest we've tried, likely due to consistent washed processing methods (as opposed to the traditional wet hulled method) and keen attention to detail.
